Sports Fair   -   Tuesday, 30th September 2008   -   Students' Union

Sports Fair

A chance to come and talk to some of the existing club members, and hopefully join the club. I think Warwick Sport is charging £4 to join a sports club this year (that is once you have your Sports Fed membership that is £32). Hopefully we will be putting on a demonstration for those of you who are confused about what we do.

(Hopefully more details to come)

Taster Session   -   Tuesday, 7th October 2008   -   Westwood Games Hall

Taster Session

We will be running two taster sessions next week on Tuesday the 7th and Wednesday the 8th of Oct.
This session will be free to all new fencers.
We will be meeting people at 7:15 outside Cost Cutters on main campus to walk people up, if you are unsure where Westwood Games Hall is. Otherwise meet at 7:30 at the hall.

This session is a chance for you to experience what it is like to fence, you will be taught some basic techniques and get kitted out and have some fights. So it is worth coming along with some friends just to try it. You do not need to be a member of the club, but you will still need Sports Fed membership to get into the hall.
All you need to bring with you is some trainers and loose trousers and we will provide all the fencing kit.

As usuial we will be heading to Varsity at the end of the session for a quick drink, so hopefully we get a chance to meet some of you properly.
